Zebra Crossings is excited to launch our first Skyhawk, or Leader In Training (LIT), program in 2018. This program is for teens ages 16-18.

As a Skyhawk, you have an amazing opportunity to give and add value to the Zebra Crossings community. While serving and supporting the community, you will explore your strengths, character and leadership skills. You will set goals for your personal growth and in a supportive environment, you will have the opportunity to lead, role model, and receive feedback so that you may open to your full potential. As you graduate the Skyhawk program, you will feel confident moving into the next chapter of your life, ready to be a leader in any community and an advocate for those who have chronic medical conditions
Why the name Skyhawk?
The hawk often has several attributes and meanings that are representative for a Leader In Training. As you transition from camper to staff, you will develop the power of clear vision and direction. The hawk can take the lead when the time is right and offering wisdom. The hawk signals a time in your life when you need to focus on what’s ahead and prepare for a leadership role. The Sky often represents dreams. When someone can harness the power of the sky, they open the doorway of their potential. As a Skyhawk, you are ready to fly higher than ever before.
